WarCore Music

WarCore is defined as aggressive mid-tempo hard rock and metal music that explores themes of life, death, love, hate, good and evil in our new dystopian society. Primarily guitar-driven melodic-metal, WarCore music often has a dark, sludgy feel similar to Doom, Gothic and Stoner Metal.

WarCore can be viewed as an artistic backlash to a culture of oppression, surveillance, control and groupthink forced on a submissive population by pandemic restrictions, political polarization and mass-media propaganda.

Atlanta-based VAMPYRE are often referred to as the founders of WarCore music, an example being the song “Up From Hell” from their self-titled debut album.
